Pansies in my Garden

Springtime will be here in several weeks. I am already looking forward to the cheerful flowers in my garden. Most of my flowers are perennials, meaning I cut them back at the end of the season, and they grow back on their own. My favorite.
But some of the ones I have are annuals, I have to plant them each year. Pansies are one of these. I don't mind planting each year at all because they come in so many different varieties and beautiful colors. They really add a nice touch to any garden.
This photo is one of my favorite varieties. The purple and yellow is so bright it always brings a smile. I took the photo from last year's garden.
Sharing a little sunshine on this cold winter day. Do you have pansies in your garden?

I love pansies, they are one of my favorite flowers! Our flower shop gets them in different shades, but my preference is the purple one, with the yellow center:) This is a lovely photo, how beautiful! We have tiny wild ones that sprout up in parts of the forest.

Pansies were my Mom's favorite flower. Pansies are supposed to be annuals but I've had them come back after winter. The fun part is that often the ones that come back on their own appear as a slightly different color and often smaller.

@CarolDM Oh nice. One of my friends grew up in GA. According to her, we up here (MN) get cheated out of most of spring.
We warm up to freezing 30s-40s in March. In April we can still get snow, and while it's rare, it's not unheard of to get snow in May as well. We can start planting garden Mid May generally speaking
