Bought New Furniture for Florida

The photo above is part of our formal living room up north. Our Florida living room is so different and so much smaller, but I don’t have a photo available and am too lazy to take one right now.
The week after we arrived in Florida, my husband and I decided we were sick of looking at our furniture, so we went shopping. We chose completely different fabrics and a new area rug. We still have a few weeks for delivery, but will donate our old furniture. They will even pick it up the day our new furniture arrives.
Have you redecorated lately? By the way, we will never get sick of the furniture up north. It’s there until we sell or drop dead.

No but I have been thinking. I also am thinking about moving the rooms around, exchange one bedroom for another.

I really want to move the furniture around in my bedroom, but because of how the windows, doors and closet are situated, I really don't have any good options to move things, other than the way they are set up now.

@moffittjc That is how my bedroom is. I want to move the spare bedroom to the office and the office to the spare bedroom.

Generally, any time I get the itch to buy new furniture, I will just rearrange the room so that it looks different. Sometimes, I just get tired of looking at the same thing. Switching furniture around helps me feel like I have an entirely different room.
I did buy the kids new bedroom furniture this past year, but other than that it's been a couple of years since I've purchased any furniture.

@moffittjc It would make a nice bonfire on Lantana Beach or whatever beach its called. I'd like to throw Dr. Jay in with the furniture.

Switching is always a good option, which we used to do. Knowing that Dr. Jay's so-called niece and whomever else used our sofas and chairs is a main impetus for us to get rid of them. Cooties and such! Up north, we used decorators and the furniture will never be moved one inch. lol

I think you read about what I did. I changed the upholstery. Our chair has the same pattern that I see in your photo.

@wolfgirl569 We use decorators and at their prices, we make sure we will never get bored with the look. Until we redecorate.

Your furniture up north looks fantastic, no need to redecorate at all! At home we haven't redecorated in quite awhile. Let's hope we can do it soon! Nice picture above Dianne, very fancy and elegant as usual!
