Poetry Day (in Belgium)

I like reading Cummings and Frost

Like you I prefer prose to poetry but I like reading some poetry as well.

I randomly read poems on wordpress and on a site : Two drops of ink. I hav submitted and got published two poems myself.

Not that I know. I love to read books, but I am not a fan of poems.

National Poetry Day is the first day in October in the US. I have written poetry for many years and since every state has a Poetry Association, entered some in our association contests. Some did well. Since retirement, I have read and written lots of poetry and am submitting for publication. I was lucky to have five published recently in an online journal.

I do like poetry. But I don't like writing poetry.

I don't think we have a poetry day in Australia. My mother loved poetry and learnt a lot of old poems at school. She could still recite many of them years later.

We don't have a poetry day in Canada. Sounds like a lovely idea, though I prefer prose too.
