Did you know that it's a crime to eat pizza with ketchup?

i have NEVER heard someone say they want ketchup for their pizza, but I have to agree that it is a culinary crime. Although it might be similar to how pineapple pizza seems to be frown upon by other people too.

Do you mean you have never heard of ketchup and eggs or having a scrambled egg topped pizza with a ketchup sauce???

You'd better not travel to Italy and eat pizza with sauce in a restaurant. If you do, the waiters will throw you out!

Ketchup?? Uh no, I don't think I could eat pizza with ketchup on it. I will stick to the original although I have had it with Alfredo before.

I have never ever wanted to add another sause to a pizza. However, there's no harm in trying it and if one likes it then why not? I think we should be free to eat food the way we like it. No, it is not a crime as far as I'm concerned.

I always put hot sauce on my pizza. It makes my pizza so delicious to eat when it is spicy, that's why. Pizzas are now being made in every country. We know that it emanated from the Italians. However, innovate our piiza versions.

@WiseGhots I love pizza the way it is. I would feel I would be ruining it if I put ketchup or anything else on it.

I wouldn’t put ketchup on a pizza, it’s not needed there is already tomato sauce. I do like the dominos sauce that comes with the pizza especially for the crusts.

I don't put catsup but sometime just a dip of hot sauce like Tabasco.

I guess it was metaphorically. Maybe it is their tradition not to add something extra to the pizza, but every now and then people have different ways to eat the pizza. As for me, I would not add anything else but eating the whole thing and go for more. lol

I don't think I have heard of anyone dipping in it ketchup, but I personally love to dip my pizza in ranch dressing . Yummy

i drizzle ranch or blue cheese on it occasionally..but ketchup would probably be too vinegary.

I am Italian and I will say nothing, why to waste time explaining something you will never understand?

I only add additional sauces if it is a cheap and not very tasty pizza. Usually I go with Tabasco sauce for the inexpensive frozen food variety. But if it is something like pizza rolls I might dip them in some chipotle ranch dressing. Again, this only applies to the cheap stuff. Any half decent pizza for me doesn't need anything added. I can't imagine ketchup on pizza being something I would like though. But more power to whoever eats their pizza that way I guess. I am not the kind of person to tell people how they should enjoy their food. XD
