How do you usually save money?

The reasons we have to save money are as diverse as possible (for example: a special trip to another country or a different food). However, this is not always an easy task to do, isn't it? Sometimes requires a lot of will power (especially if the amount is high). So, how do you deal with this?

We just do our best not to spend on things we don't really need! We treat ourselves every once in awhile, but try not to go crazy! This allows us to save some money and to enjoy life too.

I don't have much money saved, so I think I am not the one to ask this question! It is something I desperately need to do though. It isn't going to happen this month though!

I've with John on this one. Instead of trying to 'save' money, just don't spend it. Easier said than done I guess but it does give you a different way of thinking about it.

I save money every month as soon as I receive my salary, me and my husband try to put in a saving account between 10 to 15% of what we receive. We always have money by the end of the month so we are considering save some more.

Gosh, there are SOOO many ways, and not enough space here to provide anything of value. I just save. Be it on groceries, household items, gas, whatever. I put money into the stock market. I put money into savings. I save, save, save. I am much happier spending the dividends, proceeds, and interest I receive on my money than spending the money I get upfront from paychecks, or places like this.

I do my best, but I only have so much to work with in a month and I usually need to pick and choose.
