My cat Gracie: six lives down, three to go

Some of you might remember how our gray Persian cat, Gracie was missing after the woman drove her car through our garage on Christmas morning. We searched and called and looked for hours for Gracie. I was so worried that she might have been injured and had run off to the woods behind our house. We were so excited to see her late that night, fine but nervous. She has been very jittery at the least little unexpected noise. Two days ago, Gracie was nowhere to be found. I thought maybe it was because of a rabbit dog that was roaming through our yard. The next day she still hadn't come home or eaten her food. I was so upset thinking she was gone for good this time. Then, last night, there she was on the back porch! We let her in the house (she's usually an outside cat) and she roamed around inside for a while. She even let me pet her for a few minutes, most of the time she wants to be near us, but doesn't care for a lot of petting. So, I'm pretty sure she's used at least five or six lives of her nine. When she's missing, it makes us realize how much we really do love her.
