Texts between dad and I this morning. I had to cry.

I had to go out early this morning for an appointment. I didn't sleep all night and if you've been following my posts lately, you may know I've hardly had much sleep for quite awhile now. Obviously I am sleeping but not as much as I should be. After my appointment, I went to the train station and sat waiting for a bus and I got a text from my dad. DAD: "Hello, just redressed wound and the said they can see some improvement which is a good thing. The machine will stay on til Monday now then they will look again." ME: "Did they say anything else? Anything else positive? Anything negative?" DAD: "Nothing negative, just that there were signs of tissue." After reading that I put my head in my hands and started to cry. Not because I was sad. But because I was worried I would hear that his foot was doing badly that it had to be amputated. I just started crying due to complete exhaustion. Thankfully I was subtle about it and no one noticed. This isn't over just yet though. It's really good news for now and I will take that! But I will not feel 100% until my dad has the complete green light on his foot being healthy. I had about 40 minutes sleep this afternoon but I'm up again. Though I already suffer with weird sleeping patterns, this certain event has had me have some rough insomnia lately so I plan to just relax and MyLot. I have been wanting to do this for awhile now but I want to go through every single post I've done just to double check I have answered everyone. I am aware that there is one or two I have been meaning to go through and I definitely know I need to catch up with the ones I've done recently so hopefully by Monday I would have gone through them all.

Some good news at last! Maybe you should be catching up on sleep rather than catching up on myLot. I hear they're a worthless bunch over there and not worth bothering with. Ooops! This is myLot isn't it? Got to remember which site I'm on before I post!!!

@WorDazza I am getting there. I wasn't even smiling when this all started and some others things going on as well but the more my dad improves, the more my mental state improves.

This is good if they noticed an improvement. Try to relax and to rest, your Dad will need you strong when he comes back home.

I know how you feel and I am really glad you get this glimmer of good news. I am not sleeping well either, and I think I will go take a nap.

@GardenGerty I am sorry you've not been sleeping well either! I hope it's not from something around you causing you stress or anything! Wishing you to get more sleep ASAP!

I pray your dad's foot does heal. That's such a common and dangerous thing with diabetes. I pray you get your sleeping back to normal, too. The last thing you need with anxiety over a loved one is to compound it with insomnia!

@VivaLaDani13 You are very welcome. I am so glad you are feeling better and do not cough as much. I remember when I would get it I could not sleep at night. It was horrible. How is your Dad doing?
