I Should Try to Stay Away from Mylot Today to Get Ready for...

While I should stay away, I can't guarantee that I will be gone much. But, I'm hoping I will get up enough to take care of areas around the house that are calling out to me that at least I'll make some sort of progress even if I'm here too.
My daughter has a new boyfriend she met via the many fish app, (or whatever the name of that is). This is about the fifth or so person she's met with and he seems to be a keeper. His is the first to respect her decision to steer clear of the physical side of things until marriage. All her other dates claimed they had no problem with that but then proceeded to try to push her further.
She has visited with him two to three times in Lansing, but he's yet to meet the rest of our family. She hasn't met his family yet either as he's away and in school.
He has a degree already in something to do with speech and had the option to better his degree by learning sign language. He enjoyed the class so much that he's now decided to extend his schooling to try to be a sign language interpreter instead.
He'll be driving up Saturday evening and they will go bowling with my other daughter and her new husband and his young daughter. He will be staying at our house and then attending church with us and heading back after church. It will be a short visit especially since both my husband and I work Saturday night, but we should be able to visit with them after they get back from bowling.
My goal is to get the kitchen in tip top shape if I can and of course the bathroom. My husband is supposed to help sweep the living room and dust the corners.
I will be back shortly after I clean something.
I got the left side of my stove cleaned, finally. Soon I will take the right which is worse. You can see a bit of it under the burner.

So, it must be about time for you to have supper now if you're about six hours ahead of us? It's just after noon here.
I won't get that much cleaned out I'm sure. A lot of my area is mostly papers that need to be filed away and I doubt there's enough time to get all of them filed and do some cleaning. So, I'm thinking about putting them into a box under the table so the top looks decent and then I will have to work through them another time. I've already gone through several piles of papers and put most of them into the shred box.

@MarshaMusselman We have supper around 8 pm, I made a soup yesterday evening. The kitchen needs to be cleaned every day, but some day I move everything from the counter and deep clean it.

Plenty of fish is the name of the site. Seems like such an awful name I’d steer clear of a site with that name but a friend of mine used it often.
How wonderful she seems to have met a good guy! I always wanted to learn sign language. I hope you enjoy meeting him. I’d be making sure my house was spotless too if I was having company especially meeting them for the first time.

@MarshaMusselman I have been pretty addicted to the internet since we got a computer and internet when I was 12. Besides what our power or internet was out I doubt ai have ever missed a day being online. As a teen I would stay up until about 2 am every night online. My addiction isn't as bad as then

@shaggin I'm sure I've seen your age on your profile before, but until you said they you've been addicted to the internet since around twelve I realized that you're not much older than my daughters. My oldest is thirty and youngest is 27.

It won't be perfect, but hopefully the things seen right away will be better and I'm sure she's warned him some. Another guy she dated earlier last year that lived closer, she wouldn't let him come over and I think he thought it was because of his color. He eventually stopped by once or twice without warning and had to deal with it as it was as did I.
It was easier keeping up before I began running the business by myself, before I went full-time and before I began spending so much time on my computer either writing on places such as mylot or playing my games. I used to do a lot better than this. Oh, and also before my joints got so bad.
I'm hoping once I have that second knee done it will be just as good a job as the first and I'll be raring to get more done around here.

Considering I was home at the time to rest I did pretty good getting the house in shape. There is always more to do.

I think that he will and we all like him so far. They have done a lot of communicating more than most couples. Most get to the snuggling and more part before they even know the person very well. These two are hoping to wait until marriage for all of that.

@MarshaMusselman Try neglecting them and see what happens to you (lol) I have a whole lot of burnt vessels that had milk left on the gas neglected as I was busy here

@Hannihar I type fast on my phone, but forget to look each sentence to make sure the words I want get put in the right places. Often I forget and then when I finally see it often I have no clue what I wanted to say. So, I fully understand.

You are right. I did mean someone good. He does sound like a keeper and hope it all works out. I type on my desktop computer and not on the phone. I type very slow on the phone and do not enjoy it. I like using my computer so have to wait till I am near it to type. I will fix my mistake right now and put someone and not something.

oh yes and becoming a sign language interpreter is a great career. my aunt does that and is given cruises and really lots of pay for it. she has traveled the world bringing her husband with her too and wants for nothing.

I've been here at my chair too long, I should get up and work on another area or finish in at the stove. It will bless my daughter when she gets home from work to have it clean.
