What's on your agenda for today?

I thought I'd do a generic morning post as I sit here brewing up my second cup of coffee. What are you up to today?
My "social" day started early, as my 10-year-old neighbor friend showed up at 7:30 AM to ask me to "sign off" on his homework packet for this week. His mom forgot.
I'll be playing "behavioral specialist" at my friend's preschool later this morning, and then off to my grown-up friend's house later in the afternoon for some music jammin'.
I did "get aggressive" this morning and had some latkes with sour cream and apple sauce for breakfast.
Anything unusual on your end? If you have kids, do you have to "sign off" on their homework?

Your today was my yesterday and yesterday I started my day earlier than usual. I usually wake up before 7 and give Danie a walk and feed her and I would start working from home (thank goodness for the internet) at 7:40 which would last only 20 minutes. And I would have my breakfast and then rest the whole morning usually. But yesterday, I had bank transactions at 9am and spent my whole morning there, at 1pm I had a business meeting and it lasted until 3pm for which I had another meeting which also lasted until 5pm. But then another business meeting came up from 5pm which ended at 7:30pm. I had an exhausting day.

@TheHorse Because there were too many senior citizens claiming their pensions. And since I don't belong to that group, I had to wait till all of them are done since they are given priority by the bank. Though I'm considered a VIP in that bank, I chose not to be prioritised because these elderly came from far away places and they could hardly even walk straight anymore.

Staring out the window wondering just how far spring is away. The wind is howling!

Not having kids or hanging with kids makes my days all run together. I would love some latkes with sour cream and apple sauce, but it will not happen this week. You have so many different directions your life takes you. I am impressed, and a little jealous.

@TheHorse I do think signing off is common. I also believe parental involvement is very important. I know some of the kids that don't do particularly well in school (oh but they have so much potential) - and I know for a fact that their parents don't do much with them at home. One parent told me she assumed that husband was signing off for their son . . . and she says the husband assumes the same of her . . . they are both working and can't think about these things. And so the poor kid never gets his reading signed off (and the TA won't give him credit for it).

That sounds like a "heavy" breakfast! Do you think parents signing off on their kids' homework/reading is pretty common these days? I DO believe that parental involvement is important. But I've worked with some parents who have no clue about their kids' educations.

Today’s my friends’ 51st wedding anniversary. They’re 700 miles from me, so I’ll have lunch then call them and tell them how good it was.

I have a busy day. Lots of Executive Time and then I'll need to rest after that and by then the day will be just about over.

@TheHorse Good job in beating the rain. It can really mess up planting.

Nothing unusual here. Just staying inside as much as possible where it is warm.

Maybe later I will go to the town and light some candles and pray to thank God in the church and then after that,I will go to a carnival with my guests from the city.
