Guava

We had three different types of guavas growing in our garden. On was seedless, one pretty large and there was those small guavas with red seeds.
These trees are no more and when they were yielding we had too many guavas. I used to make juices, cheese and even ice cream. For whatever reason the trees that I have now are not yielding
Guavas are packed with vitamin C. We now buy the fruit. Those were the days.

Maybe the guava tree is old and needed to be replaced.

@simplfred I do not know why
May be lack of nutrients?

I do not know what nature is up to. Could it be that we just did not appreciate when we had plenty of them?

@allknowing I know apple, cherry, and pear trees will stop producing after they get so old. It might be the same for them. You could try planting a few new ones if you have room.

Guava is a fruit I don't have much experience with - though I see it in the international markets. Our meyer lemon tree usually has a good yield, but this year, although we did have the usual yield, the lemons turned out freakishly tiny. They are small with thick skinned. It seems like a lot of plants/trees are confused here with the strange weather . . . has the weather been odd out there as well?

@allknowing For us, I think the few days of extreme heat did something to the plants. And now with the more than normal rainfall, maybe it'll do something else.

I will not give up. May be I should add some natural fertiliser or hope the weather will behave.

You do not have to swallow those seeds. They get digested easily. I have been eating guavas for years and years (lol)
