Hello MyLot Fans, I'm Back

I'm not sure if anyone will still remember me. My last post is dated 2/17/2017, so it is three days short of being two years since I have posted. A lot has changed, and life just got in the way. For one thing, I no longer live in California, my home of over 50 years. I now live in North Carolina. I have been focusing my online efforts on HubPages, mainly because I was earning money there. That part of MyLot was disappointing to me, but I did enjoy the social aspect. I came back in search of inspiration. Sometimes I get good ideas for things to write about from things I have written in the past. Perhaps an idea not fully developed. Reading back over my old posts and comments, I remembered how much fun it used to be, so I thought I'd at least check in.

@Happy2BeMe I'm glad you made it through all of that. I've had some health problems too, but not as severe as what you had. Health is nothing to be taken for granted.

@norcal thanks a lot has changed with me too since you were last here. In June 2017 I had a heart attack and a week later i had open heart surgery. I am doing well now though.

Of course I remember you Anna. When I looked back at what I was writing about here, it was so different from what I write on HubPages. Also, it's not like FaceBook. My FaceBook friends are all people I know in real life. Here, my friends are people I'm not likely to ever meet. I can say things I wouldn't want my friends and family to read.

@jaboUK It's actually a way bigger house than I need, but the rent is cheap. I will love living here until the house we bought is ready to move into. It's old too, and it needs a lot of work.

I like it, it's very different from California. So much more rain throughout the year; in California it's very dry for most of the year with all of the rain (when we had any) coming in the winter. Two reasons for the move. Housing is so much more affordable here, and both of my daughters moved here.

I did Hub pages for a while. Did not make much money but did learn quite a bit about writing. Plus, they have an excellent community of writers that are available to help you out.

I have been at HP for 8 years. It took a lot of time and work to start earning anything substantial, but now I get a monthly payout whether I write or not. I've had my ups and downs there.
