I have never been a fan of cooking and when I first met my husband he loved to cook!! So over the years he would cook awesome stuff and it was all so good.
But his health started to get bad and I pretty much took over the cooking and I'm still not into it but it needs to be done.
He asked me tonight what I wanted and of course I said I don't know I will find something. He got up and started to cook dinner. It was so good and sweet of him.
It was homemade chicken ranch and bacon pizza.

That would be nice if he did cook something for you again. I know how to cook a lot more now than years ago but still don't enjoy it.

@hillhjill I am home earlier than he is on most nights and I enjoy cooking so it has become my job. I would love him to cook for me but he says he has no interest any longer since I'm so good at it.

@nela13 thank you, but he won't be getting any better..he has a bad heart and his back is deteriorating etc.

Now that sounds really delicious but I can't eat pork bacon. These days the only bacon we eat is turkey bacon.

@hillhjill Don't be sorry. It's our personal choice. My whole family doesn't like to eat it anymore plus we can't stand the smell of pork at all. We don't have any illness or that sort of thing. And it's not because we want to lose weight either because none of us are overweight. Just our own personal choice.

@toniganzon I can understand that, for a long time we didn't eat pork and when I did I would get sick.
But pork is the cheapest meat now and we eat it but not other.

@hillhjill i'll get some ideas and buy the ingredients,but let others cook it, then we get surprised when some would turn out well. i'm not a foodie also. i don't notice that big of a difference between the same product from 2 different stores.

@hillhjill It's been a while, but I can still remember how the real stuff smelled... Now if anyone ever comes out with bacon flavor ice cream... I honestly don't know if I could not order a cone... just to see !!!
