We all need salt in our diet to help with sleep quality, insulin resistance and hypertension. Most people need between 2,500 and 6,000 milligrams per day. Sea salt is the best choice. Salt works with potassium which keeps your blood pressure down. About 97% of Americans are deficient in potassium. You can find potassium in sweet potatoes, butternut and acorn squash, cooked spinach, hazelnuts, pistachios, wild salmon and avocados.
You can tell you are getting too much salt if you are thirsty all of the time, eating too much processed foods, you have high blood pressure, swelling under your eyes; swollen arms, hands or feet; get persistent or severe headaches,
you get kidney stones, or you can't concentrate.

That does suck. I just eat what I want. Just not a lot of salt.

I think it is a matter of watching how much we add to our food. Most things already have it in.

I do not think I'm taking too much salt. Just normal. I just can not imagine eating non-salty foods
