Having bipolar
I have had bi polar since i was pregnant with my first child in 1991 .. I finally in 2012 thru not giving up.. got my disability and was able to get out of an abusive relatuinship from a 10 year marriage .. Having bi polar is never easy and something i struggle with daily ..but by the grace of God i make it thru. bi polar is hard for other people that dont have it to understand i have good days and bad days and with that comes the highs and the lows.. And thats when depression sets in .. I have lost a lot of my family members due to this and the fact that i have a daughter who became a drug addict who is. Now im.happy to say in recover .. My family does not understand bipolar .. Or me for that matter .. They never have
I have give up trying to have a relationship with my sister or brother ..and only talk to.my sister thru my mom whom just recently moved to live with her.
Having bi polar has really taken a toll.on my life ..looking at me on the outside you may not be able to.tell because you can't see whats going on inside my head and the pain i go thru alone. . i do have medications that i take daily for this and will.have to take for the rest.of my life .. Struggling with depression is one of the hardest parts .. I am thankful that God is there to help me get thru those days.. As i could not do.it without him ..do you know someone who.has bipolar. ?

I know people who are bipolar. I have had depressions for more than 20 years, but I have never experienced mania. One of my friends who is bipolar has very severe depressions sometimes, and in some periods we don't talk much, because she doesn't want people around her and she doesn't want to talk at all.

@Nana49 That is what I do. I let her call me when she is ready to talk again. I have a bit of the same thing, it is less extreme in my case, but I don't want a lot of people around me when I have depressions, so I understand how she feels.

I'm so sorry to hear this. We have a good friend at church who is bi-polar. Her meds make her hands very shaky, but she's one of the most thoughtful people I know. My sister in law has Schizophrenia, but she's blessed to have the right combo of meds and is doing really well. I'm sorry that your family isn't more supportive. You've always got your myLotters to talk to.

Thank you for saying that..it hasnt been easy espically since growing up we were all such a close nit family ..and all loved each other ..it saddens me because its the things way back in the past they are holding against me ... I have worked really hard to better myself and learned from each experience ive gone thru .but they dont see it that way ..
I will never understand it ..
