Do you like the sound of running water

I have been making videos lately as in told you in one of my earlier discussions. most of them have been around waterscapes. I live far away from any water body and water is the most calming sound to me. I visited my ex employer on some work a few weeks ago and enjoyed the artificial lake created by them and all the lovely arrangements they have made around it . Just sitting there and closing my eyes never fails to transport me to a different and beautiful world. I am planning on getting a small fountain installed in my living area. Do you love the sound of splashing water? Do you have a fountain inside your home? Would you like to have one if you don't have it already?

I love water and that's why we live so close to it in Florida. I love the sound of waves and gurgling water. At our home up north, we have a fountain on our back deck, a brook, a pond, and a waterfall in the woods.

@DianneN well if I had to pick I'd go with the warmer climate too while winter is having it's final say.

I love the sound of running water. We have a small brook that runs along our garden. It comes down from the hill in front of us and it forms a small waterfall just before turning right to our garden. I always hear the sound of running water.

I love the sound of gurgling and splashing water. I really like fountains. I would love to have a fountain but do not have the possibility. There is a fountain for kids to splash in near a park here.

There's something extremely relaxing about being around water. Makes sense at a biological level as we are evolved from water-based creatures.

@WorDazza you mean to say your ancestors weren't apes but fish?

@WorDazza LOL No I don't think I came from those wriggly thingies... I came from the dust of the Earth and the breath of God. The Bible talks about living waters.. which is the word of God from which everything came into existence. .. Maybe you don't believe it.

Water bodies ate wonderful places to be at peace at. No fountains or anything in houses where I live but always some natural water body nearby.

I like the sound of running water as long as it is not a leak somewhere. My neighbors over the back fence have a fountain feature in their yard and I can hear it all summer long. That and the wind in the tops of the trees makes a very soothing sound.

I have lived in places where water was scarce. I have also been to where water was abundant. Water is our lifeblood and the sound of flowing water is soothing. "When you drink water, honor the source" is a Chinese proverb - siva

@Shiva49 And what a lovely proverb. If we did that we wont have so much water scarcity around the world. I hate how water is wasted by people washing their cars here.

@sofssu I spent over a year in a city that is known for its perennial water scarcity Ever since that experience, waking up at 3 in the morning to store water, I have always been conscious of how precious water is. The quote can also be “Those who drink the water should never forget those who dug the well.” That drives home the very basic of life - to be grateful for our blessings. We know who dug the very first well - siva

@Shiva49 Yeah everything ultimately comes to gratitude. I guess our life only gets better with an attitude of gratitude.

@sofssu I'd love to but that would be an additional expense to maintain :) Anyway, I can listen to the sound of the waves at the seaside instead where I usually go after my early morning walk :) The sound of running water though is more soothing :)

The sound of water running in the night might worry me, but during the day is nice, especially if the weather is so not pleasant with high temp.

Love the sound of a babbling brook and waves on shores. When the tv program has a scene of a beach I hope to hear the waves breaking. Can't have a fountain in my apt. home, but sounds so nice. How will the maintenance be for an indoor fountain?

@oahuwriter Nothing much , just a slight cleaning once a month and maybe filling water too. These small table top ones are great for apartments.
