Fair, Is Fair

Locally, the county fair had its opening day on friday the first of march. Its a ten day long affair. Lots of displays having to do with local agriculture and the local 4H competitions.
The GF and I went to opening night to see something different, monster trucks!
There were five competing and a really good crowd to watch them. It was different seeing them move in person instead of on t.v.
After the monster truck show, we walked around the fair grounds. I was shocked at the price to play certain "skill" games. If the prices were cheaper, I wouldve tried my hand at throwing a ring around a glass soda bottle. Popping balloons with a dart. Shooting gallery with an airsoft rifle.
Over the weekend I and the GF kept coming across posts on social media of how people were upset and infuriated that they bought a ticket package that included a lot of tickets for kids rides and adult rides. But with the high winds, the rides were closed and people were not happy when they were told the packages were non-refundable. Im very interested to see what the outcome is going to be with the complaints.
I enjoyed just walking around taking in the sites. I was never much for rides, so no complaints from me there. The skill games were enticing but the prices put me off. We are thinking about maybe going back on the weekend and spend time with friends/family, a get together.

You have your county fair now? I guess up here it's usually end of summer. We go to the LA one every year, but yah, everything is so expensive including the food. I would think the weather would not be on their side for the rides right now - I wonder how they will handle the ticket issue!

I like the rides. Can they re-schedule the rides instead of refund?

I LOVE the rides. Once they had this roller coaster thing but its small and super fast and enclosed, that was the first ride that ever scared me and made me wanna puke all at the same time.
I havent been to one is so long, I think I will go when they come here.
