The tennis ball thief!

I visited my sister Jill last week, who asked me if our dog liked chasing tennis balls. If you have read my previous post, you will know that the answer is a definite yes!
Jill then told me that she had been to Scotland last year to visit our cousin Jenny, who had told Jill about the habits of own dog, whose name escapes me.
It appears that whenever the dog is let loose anywhere near the local tennis courts he returns with at least one tennis ball in his mouth.
The problem is that Jenny's dog has been in the habit of doing this when nobody is looking, and storing his stash in various places around the house. Jenny now has a huge stock of purloined tennis balls, with no means of returning them to their rightful owners - the tennis courts are used by anyone who wants to turn up for a game, so there is no way of knowing who has been the victim of any particular theft. Even if she could, the doggy tooth marks might be a disincentive for serving for the match with one of them!
Jenny has had no option but to pass the tennis balls on to anyone who wants them, and that included Jill. However, Jill lost her own dog (i.e. it died) a few months ago, hence her offer to me.
I therefore came away with the pack of four tennis balls you can see in the photo. These are completely unused - the pack has not even been opened. Her dog presumably pinched them out of somebody's tennis bag when they weren't looking and took the whole pack away with him!
Do you live in Glasgow? Are you a keen tennis player? Ever wonder where that pack of four tennis balls got to?
Problem solved!

imagine going to the court and losing a whole pack of new tennis balls!

Someone is surely searching for the missing tennis ball. You should publish on facebook.
