Although it's cold here, it's also March, and that means that spring can't be more than three months away! That means it's time to think about where to go and what to see. I'm a native Kentuckian, so I'll crow about my home state (hopefully enough to get John interested in coming to see us one day). Here's another place that's great to visit in our fair state. #8: Kentucky Horse Park And just what is Kentucky famous for? Horses!! That's on prominent display in Lexington, home of the Kentucky Wildcats. Lexington is known as "the horse capital of the world." Keeneland, one of the horse racing tracks in the state as well as one of the locales for sales of potential Kentucky Derby hopefuls, is in Lexington. So are countless horse farms, circled by those famous white fences that you associate with the Bluegrass Region of Kentucky. The drive through the area is a tourist destination by itself! Ah, but there's more. The Kentucky Horse Park has all things horses! There are horse rides, horse museums (for saddlebreds, jumpers, and horses in general), and a hall of fame. Admission is $20 for adults, with discounts for seniors, children, military, and lower prices in the "off-season" (November-March). There is also a fee for parking. A great time in a stunningly beautiful part of the state!! Kentucky Horse Park Located in Lexington Info about the Kentucky Horse Park:

I would love to see all of that ..... maybe I should start playing the lotto to see if I can win enough to take a trip up that way.

I would love to visit the horse park. I have long been aware of Kentucky as a state renowned for its thoroughbreds.
