My friend visited me this evening. She brought few raw bananas and some fresh ladyfinger (okra) from her vegetable garden. I had few radish from my harvest and I gave four to her.
After the exchange of fresh vegetables from our garden we had some chit chat over tea. And she left.
The ladyfinger looked so tempting and my little one demanded for her favorite " Bhindi fry" ( bhindi is hindi name for ladyfinger). The picture is taken while it was getting cooked.
That turned out really well. Freshly harvested veggies taste so good
Now after my dinner, I am helping my daughter with her Maths. We are doing word problems with percentage.

We have Bhindi Fry in the summers. Today we would have potato-peas-carrot dry veggie for the dinner.

That sounds yummy! I made potato tomato curry as bhindi fry was dry one and we needed some gravy for chapati.

Yes, most of the people who tried it like it. And it is a very good food for diabetics. If I am not wrong, I remember from some interactions here that you too are diabetic.

Oh your dinner looks so delicious! I love okra, but have never had it fresh before. The only kind available here, is frozen. I love it! I cook our dinner later on in the afternoon, today I'm not sure what I'll fix.

I think this vegetable is more popular in Asia. However I used to get it in US and UK from Indian stores during my stay there. Even Mexican stores had it.
We as a family love okra. . And this delicate tender ones were extra delicious.

@LowRiderX You might get in Indian and Mexican stores if you have one. Maybe you'll find frozen ones in your regular stores. It is more popular in Asia especially India and China.
