Do you think wild animals face as much dental problems as we do?

It is morning here and today, while brushing my teeth, I was just wondering, 'Why don’t animals need as much dental care as we do'? Are we fragile as compared to other species, even birds, as we need to brush twice and use mouth wash and even after so much, humans have dental problems. Do you think wild animals face as much dental problems as we do?

NO, wild animals are naturally protected from tooth decay, thanks to the food they eat. Pets have this problem because we give them "human food".

@Sheali They chew food and this is important. Pets eat soft food, things that humans give them.

I know pets need to have their teeth cleaned or face dental problems. It wouldn't surprise me if wild animals have problems, too.

@Sheali I'm not sure how much dental care animals need compared to us humans but I do know that some would benefit from dental biscuits / treats. But that's for pets. I don't think it really matters for animals in the wild.

@Sheali Are you also talking about pets that live in our homes? My cat eats only cat food and she just had the vet visit her and her teeth are fine. It is because of the dry food. I hope it continues to be good.

"Wild" animals don't eat the crap that humans do @Sheali . Chemicals, pesticides, sodas, smoking, sugary foods; all rot human teeth. Personal pets can get bad teeth too because of the garbage in their processed foods and contaminated water.

no. I read that when cats in the wild eat meat, the meat helps them from getting dental problems.
