Would you want to know why someone blocked you on MyLot?

Was just thinking about some things and thought I would share some of my thoughts with you.
If someone blocked you on here, would you want to know why or wouldn't it bother you enough to want to find out?
I don't know if I've ever been blocked by anyone here but if I found out I was, I would really like to know why.
If someone was being horrible towards people here then I can fully understand why that person would be blocked. But to block someone out of the blue and for what appears to be for no reason, does the one being blocked deserve to know why?
Not only learning why but maybe talk things out to hopefully have the issue fixed. If someone just simply messaged another and said "Hey I just wanted to let you know I felt this way when you said this. I'd really like to talk about it." Then there's a big chance it will get resolved. Instead of just blocking them and forever have the other person wondering what they did wrong.
Sometimes no communicate is best. But I still strongly believe that using the wonderful communication skills that we have, could be used to fix issues instead of cutting off all communication without any effort to resolve it.

@JohnRoberts Good thing you guys have blocked each other then. If nothing can be resolved then it's best to just stay out of each other's way. So that is fair enough.

@snowy22315 To some it isn't. I'm sure to others it may be. I guess it depends on the person but I'm glad it's not a big deal to you. The more who don't worry about this kind of stuff, the better.

I have been blocked by a few persons. I discovered later that some "blocked by mistake". I think that we should have a list of people we blocked and we should also have a list of those who blocked us. Just an example there is a user here who blocks all those who are not "Native English Speaking". Nice isn't it?

@VivaLaDani13 I would not mention the user, I think this would be against the rules. Some users are simply weird. Their loss if they block people, no interaction, no earnings.

@LadyDuck Good idea! I think that could help us a bit in regards to the accidentally blocking.
....really? That is horrible! I won't ask but I am really curious as to who that person is. But yeah that is really uncalled for!

I have been blocked by only one person, and I had no idea why. But after reading some FB posts yesterday (in which you were part of the conversation), it made much more sense to me. At first I was curious as to why I was blocked by this person, but now I really don't care.
I would, however, be totally devastated if YOU ever blocked me!

@moffittjc I was talking to DJ about this yesterday. I let her know what was going on lately. And I was also needing to vent because said person was once again being horrible to me. Sick of being accused for something I'm not. Most of what I say gets taken out of context and I don't need that stress right now when all I was trying to do was help!
I won't have any reason to block you I'm sure. And seriously, I would be very sad if you blocked me. I do have abandonment issues. Especially if it's someone I really care about so....yeah...Don't leave me!

I was blocked by a user yesterday evening. She wrote a post saying why she blocked me. It seems she thought I had reported one of her discussions (which I did not). That post has since been deleted as well.
If someone chooses to block me, oh well, I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

@SophiaMorros I'm sorry that happened but glad you're not going to worry about it. I wish these sorts of things could be dealt with in a different manner. Either speak about it privately and get help with admin instead of publicly humiliating each other.

@VivaLaDani13 Well then I have never had an experience where I could not follow someone or send them a message. So may be nobody has blocked me or else I am not aware of it.

@mayka123 You can know by checking their profiles. If you can't see the "Follow" option or "Send Message" option then they have blocked you. You can also know by not being able to answer their responses / comments.
I'm sorry you had some nasty messages. That is not very kind at all!

I agree that there should be communication about it and maybe things could be understood, on both ends. I always say it and I will again, love conquers all and should be shown more. =) With love comes understanding, communication, compassion and effort.

@LovingMyBabies I really agree with you! I can understand if it all started with something really horrible but there are other times when things could get sorted just by talking and listening to one another.

I honestly wouldn’t want to know nor would I care. I get a lot of teollersnor people that will comment, and keep commenting on everyone that comments on your post so they can get annoying after a long time.

I would like to know why. But I just got cussed out and blocked for telling someone the truth, so be it, his loss because I liked and commented on everything he wrote.

@andriaperry It can be very hard when we say things that people take the wrong way to the point of full blown arguments and blocking going on. Some things are hard to get past but I think the sooner it just stops, the better. I'm seeing a small group of people talking about this. I know it's making a few people, including myself feel a bit awkward because of friends being in the middle of all this. It's hard because, again speaking for myself, I don't want to upset anyone. I would just like to see it resolved. The problem is, trying to keep away from it can be looked upon as betrayal. 
I'm just trying to do best by me right now as I already have a lot going on here but the best I can do is wish both sides well and hopefully it all gets sorted.

if mylot has no intention of removing the block button, then maybe provide a block list visible only to us, similar to the Followers and Following list but, again, visible only to each mylotter so you're aware who you've intentionally and accidentally blocked.

@VivaLaDani13 there have been many instances where the blocker was informed through the help of another mylotter and they were so surprised. they were unaware they've accidentally blocked someone.
so even if you say you'll never block someone, at least be open to the possibility that it could actually happen without you even knowing it.

I got no idea if I'd been blocked or not, is there a way of finding out? If such, then I will have to go on doing the usual thing less the person who did the blocking.

@florelway I think there is a way to find out but I've forgotten how. I THINK you find out by being able to see a MyLotter's post but not being able to reply to them. I'm not sure though.

How do I know if a particular member has blocked me? - If a member has blocked you, you will not be able to comment or respond to their discussions.
The fastest way to be sure that a member has blocked you, is to go to their profile. If they have blocked you, the "message" and "follow" options will not be available.

@Sheali Thank you for your kind words. But yeah I know what you mean. People can have different opinions about other people. But sometimes people can take things out of context and the wrong way and that is what makes them dislike someone. So really nothing bad happened but that person will think it did.
