Men vs women

Today is woman's day. A day that represents the struggle for women's rights, for equality. But equality is something that does not exist. I say we must fight for difference, because men and women are biologically, physiologically, emotionally different. It is impossible to want to be equal to men. They will never experience the feeling of having a baby growing within us, of feeling it move. We will not be able to physically perform as much as a man in the most varied sports. We have different interests, different perspectives. They have some characteristics, us others - neither better nor worse, just different. And every woman and man is unique, and it does not seem to me that the solution to a perfect future is to stereotype a whole society. We must fight for differences. Recognize them, value them. Give opportunities to each according to the individual characteristics. Respect, give freedom, recognize rights. A woman can be anything she wants: a top worker who lives for work and is the best in her area, a full-time mother who has the children as the priority of her life, a hard-working mother with time for her children with a schedule and salary adapted to the two facets of her life. We are all different, men and women and that is good! Different but with the same rights! What we deserve is to be all happy, and that is why we must fight for every day. Happy woman's day!

That's right. We can do everything because we are women.

I agree with the physical differences, but women need equal rights in the workplace, equal pay, and a voice that needs listening to. Happy Woman's Day to you, too! My granddaughter and her mom would have been out marching today with their female friends, if mom wasn't at the hospital in Nairobi. They do it every year.

Congratulations for this post. Well said, a woman can be anything she wants and we do not want to me "like men". We are different and we like to be different, but we want and we deserve the same rights.

Thank you Anna, I am glad you agree with me. If we respect the difference and recognize that we all have the same rights the world can be a fair place.

@nela13 It's a nonsense to want to be identical, let's accept our differences. What is not acceptable is to be paid less for the same job.

I agree with your assessment that women and men are different from each other, and we must acknowledge and accept those differences. But where we should be equal and the same is in how we are all treated. Women and men should be treated equally, whether it is in the workplace or in the home. Men are no better than women, and women are no better than men. Men should not think of women as inferior. I don't want to bash one religion over another, but in the Muslim faith women are considered inferior, and many have no voice or rights at all in Islamic societies. What is alarming is that Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world. What is going to happen when Islam becomes the predominant religion of the world? Women in Jewish, Christian, secular and other societies who now have tremendous freedom will suddenly find themselves with little to no rights under harsh Islamic rule. That should be concerning. Now, with that being said, there are many moderate Islamic countries who have given women tremendous amounts of rights, but we have to be careful not to let extremist Islamic rulers take control of societies.

@nela13 Their goal is nothing short of global domination, and they are doing it very quietly. One day the world is going to wake up and realize what is going on, and by then it may be too late to stop. And then what? Women become slaves to men. It's not going to be a good thing at all.

I believe that all people deserve to be treated rightfully and fairly. But I do not want to be compared to a man on some levels, and I do appreciate the kindness and chilvery that they show more then I would want to be considered an equal. Yes, we've differences, but they are amicable.
