Hey everyone, I hope you're doing well today! Things are amazing here. God is so good, He is an amazing Father. =) Today has been a good day! We did mostly the usual today...Home School, chores, played a bunch, cooked, and spoke with my grandmother on the phone too. We had a good hour long conversation, catching up. She told me about botox shots she got which has helped with her neck pain tremendously! I'm so glad for her. =) I also watched some worship music videos and a faith based movie. Now, the kids just got done with dinner (my kids cooked!) They wanted to make pancakes. I don't eat them and they know it, so I will heat up left over chicken in a few. =) I think my husband will eat something quick when he gets home. For the adults here, it's a fend for yourself night. Lol. How's your day been? Do you need prayers? I love speaking to my Father!! Image by For God's Glory Photography--isn't that an amazing sunset??

Lol! My husband whipped me up a storm for dinner while I was out all day having girl time with my sis-in-law. And it was served in style with aplomb! At least you had less cooking to do tonight.

that is great. we do that here sometimes except my daughter or her bf heats me a tv dinner. yes my kids cooked sometimes if they got home later for dinner. or didn't want what i made. usually they also made pancakes or fry bread or warmed tortillas and a can of refried beans and threw on whatever else they wanted like cheese and such.

@bunnybon7 Yeah, some nights are just not cooking nights. Lol. My kids love to cook and they have started young-which is good. =) Learning life skills is part of their education here.

That was nice that you were able to get in a good long visit on the phone with your grandmother. I think its great how your kids, all spread out in ages, look after each other like that. I guess that there IS strength in numbers there, isn't there?

Another wonderful day for you all! Seriously, some nights are a fend for yourself kinda deal . . . it's a good way to get rid of some leftovers - we had a night of that this week! I think many of my lunches are that way .

Fend-for-yourself is becoming more and more common around here as the kids are older and keeping crazy schedules. If only half of the family (or less) is going to be around at dinner time and there are leftovers in the fridge I don't bother cooking anything. This week, even though my husband is out of town, I have extra folks underfoot. So I'll be cooking every evening.
