Night out with mom tonight

My mom wanted to see the Tosca opera and so I agreed to go with her as I know she wouldn't go by herself. I don't mind as I enjoy operas myself.
We wanted to go for dinner before the show. I tried making a reservation at a restaurant nearby but it is booked for the time slot I want. The other available time slots are not good.
I called another place I've been to (Le Pif), which is about a ten minute walk from the venue, to make a reservation but no one picked up. They are probably not open yet.
I will try to get to the city earlier, to pick up the tickets, and so I can find some place else to go for dinner. Maybe I will even call Le Pif again on the way to the city and see if any tables are available.
Don't want to end up without dinner... I had breakfast around 11 am and will definitely be hungry come 6 pm, which is when we want to go eat, as the show is at 8 pm.

I certainly hope that you can find a table somewhere... Dinner can't wait that long :( Trying would ruin the show for you!

@Hate2Iron Yes. Only downside was that I was sneezing and had a stuffy nose that was also runny and had to breathe though my mouth at times. And mom had same issue.

I hope you manage to find a nice restaurant - and that you enjoy the opera although I'm sure you will.

Turns out the first restaurant that I wanted to go to that was not available for my time slot was available for that time slot when I got there, so that's where we went.
