Good Morning and Happy First Day of Spring

As you can see, Doodles the cat realizes it’s spring! He is enjoying the longer days, the warming temperatures, and the robins on his daddy’s lawn in Connecticut.
With me, it’s been spring every day since December, when we arrived in South Florida. We have experienced cool days and nights, warm days and nights, and even a few hot days and nights the same as a typical spring day up north. We can expect more of the same until we return up north on June 6th.
Our spring in Florida has flowers in bloom, green lawns, trees with green leaves and some with flowers year round. It’s not humid as some folks think. It’s paradise!
So happy day and or happy spring to you! I will see you later. Hubby and I are off to the gym in a few minutes and going out for breakfast.

Black cats are so funny in the sun like that. Their fur gets so hot. Enjoy the gym and happy spring

That sunshine looks so nice. I could just join Doodles right there on that warm spot. The first day of Spring was cold for us. No higher than 50 and rather windy.

Yes, because we became residents of Florida. Our house up north is now considered our vacation home. We made the decision due to the extremely high state income taxes up north. We will spend 6 months and 1 day in Florida to keep it legal and leave June 6th.

Houston is the last place I'd ever want to visit @DianneN I just had a conversation with Carol and she told me the interstate there has 10 lanes in both directions, good grief I had trouble in Albuquerque where there were 6 lanes in both directions, it was so confuzing

I didn't realize that you returned North in the summertime. Happy Spring to you, too! I'm glad to hear that you and hubby are exercising and eating healthy.

Usually we only spend 4 months here and leave in early April. Not so anymore! We have become Florida residents for 6 months and 1 day, due to the horrible high state income taxes in CT. Our home in CT will now be our vacation home. We leave for vacation on June 6th. lol
Thank you! We have been eating healthy and exercising for many years.

@LindaOHio Our family keeps us in CT, but the year rounders here told us that the breeze off the water makes it enjoyable during the summer - except for one week. There's a musician who lives in NY and he comes here often in the summer. He said that it's beautiful then.

Happy spring to you, too! Doodles was named by his daddy. He was originally named JD by our son and his ex girlfriend after their first initials. When they broke up, our son immediately took the cats (which she never took care of) and came up with Doodles. It made no difference to Doodles. He answers to Monkey, Boo Boo, etc....

In our country, spring has come to end and tomorrow is Holi, festival of colors which is last festival of spring and marks the beginning of summer.

@LowRiderX When it's very dry out, everything clings to him. On days like that, our son uses fabric softener sheets to remove what doesn't fall off naturally. Then Doodles attacks the sheets and has some extra fun.
