Yesterday, I stopped at Kaiser to pick up some meds. I already posted about the silly sign I saw on the door, but I knew my readers would want more detail about the illegal snow peas I planted on the balcony there several months ago. It turns out that they're doing great. I gobbled up a couple of snow peas and left the rest for others. I also noted that there are several pretty white flowers on the vines. These will turn into snow peas soon. I hope I am not the only one enjoying the fruits of my labor. I hope that doctors, nurses, technicians and others gobble up snow pea or two when they take their lunch break on the balcony at Kaiser. The snow peas at the preschool are doing OK, but they're not ready to yield yet. I hope they give the kids some snow peas before the hotter weather sets in. Soon, I'll be planting corn, green beans, and sunflowers on my own balcony. Some will stay on my balcony, and others will wind up at the prechool. And yes, I'll do more illegal planting at Kaiser.

Guerilla seeding is a great idea, gorilla planting less clever though

Why are snow peas illegal? I was thinking of planting some. Will that bring the cops to my door?

@TheHorse Oh, so you are the mad planter? Didn't they just grow there? A pea sailed into the wind and picked this really good place to land. The cops would have to believe that.

Oh, the illegal part is that I plant them in random places, not just on my own property.

@akalinus Heh heh. "The seeds just fell out of my pocket...into the planter...exactly one foot away from each other..."

Do you plant under cover of darkness?

I am brazen. I plant in broad daylight.

Heh heh. I grew up with too strong a sense of morality. So in adulthood, I enjoy performing criminal acts. My main criminal act is to plant sunflowers, green beans, snow peas, and corn on property that's not my own.

I only ate a few. The consistency was perfect, but they weren't as sweet as I would have liked.

@TheHorse - How wonderful! I love the idea that you are leaving plants around the community. You are a modern day Johnny Appleseed! My husband and I are so grateful for the way Kaiser operates. Since he has three major disease ... heart disease, blood cancer and chronic kidney disease ... his doctors have actually gotten up during his appointments and walked down the hall to consult with each other before changing a prescription. Where else could that happen?

@TheHorse - Yes, we really appreciate Kaiser, especially since my doctor became so ill and now sees several different specialists, nearly every month. Belonging to Kaiser has made our life much easier.
