Watching The Rain

Good morning everyone! I would say that it is a beautiful day but it is raining here and it's supposed to continue through tomorrow. I can't complain as I love the rain. Never realized it until I lived in Vegas for 5 years and never saw any rain at all. Now I could sit and watch it all day long.
I remember playing in the rain as a child. My Mom didn't mind as long as it wasn't thundering or lightning and we asked her first. The rain would smell so clean and new. We would hold out our arms and turn around and around with our mouths open to catch the rain. I loved it and always hated to have to come inside when the rain stopped.
Have you ever played in the rain as a child? There are times when I wish I could still play but I think people would think I had lost my mind being that I am 63 years old.

Rain is very cold where I live as it only rains in the middle of the winter. Now, in our fall, we are having chilly sunny mornings. I´m 73 and stopped minding what people think of me. Do play in the rain, if you wish

My sister and I loved to play in the rain when we were children. I still love to listen to it.

@Tampa_girl7 it really is. It always makes me feel so relaxed. But, I can't listen to the apps with thunder storms. I'm a light sleeper and the thunder wakes me up.

I remember jumping in puddles when I was a kid. I enjoy a rainy day now but not when it's dull and dreary for days

I played as a child and even play now with my children. Such fun are beyond any age. I love the smell of the rain.

If you want to play in the rain: go for it!
Let them talk. They're just envious they don't dare to do it themselves :-)
It's raining here too. It's supposed to get better in 2-3 hours, start again tonight and continue through tomorrow but then it will turn to sleeth. I'm pretty sure I must have played in rain as a child as it's raining here pretty often but I think I preferred playing in the snow.

I remember when I was young playing in the rain-especially when it brought a nice cool down to a hot and humid summer's day.
It rained here yesterday morning, and walking from the car to the door to get into work wasn't near as fun as playing in the rain was when I was a child. Funny how things change as we age.
