Have you ever tried sour grass before?

I bought sour grass and cilantro for the first time. Made a salad yesterday combining escarole with them. Also added heirloom tomato, Persian cucumber, yellow bell pepper, dried coconut flakes, dried cranberries, sea salt and olive oil. The sourness wasn't too much and the salad turned out really good. I am definitely gonna buy sour grass again to switch things up. Same for cilantro. I am in love with it. Can't believe I didn't buy cilantro before. I think I even like it more than parsley or curley parsley. Love the smell of it.

We call the "sour grass" acetosella in Italy, it's very good . I grow cilantro in my garden, I use it when I prepare Mexican food.

@lovebuglena I grow several vegetables, tomatoes, zucchini, eggplants, cucumbers, pumpkins, bell peppers and hot peppers and many herbs (parsley, basil, sage, thyme, rosemary, mint).

@LadyDuck It's probably a money saver growing all this stuff at home, no?

It's cool that you have a garden. What else do you grow?

Sour grass is something new for me. Is it a kind of grass or a kind of vegetable?

I am not sure how to classify it. It's a green leaf looking thing that has a sour taste.

I am curious to know why it's called sour grass because it looks like a leaf not a grass lol.

Give both a try. You might like it. Not sure if you have sour grass where you live but you should have cilantro I'd think.

I've seen it in stores many times but never bought it. My husband saw it and decided to get it and good thing he did because I love it.
