Champagne with strawberries.

My friends brought a bottle of champagne when they came for lunch. Leticia placed the rest of the bottle in the refrigerator until yesterday when she took it out to put there a bottle of homemade eggnog that my aunt had given me.
I saw it today and told her to put the contents (not bubbly any longer) in a jar. I brought some strawberries when I went to the dentist so I told her to mince some of them, add them to the champagne and add some sugar to the mixture.
We each had a glass for lunch. It was delicious! Many times I have done this with white wine, but with champagne it tastes much better.
Do you have such drinks?

I've had champagne with strawberries before! It's been many, many years but I do recall that it was delicious!

I wish I had had more than just one glass. But it was a leftover champagne.

@marguicha We have Prosecco about every Saturday evening and it lasts for two dinners.

That sounds delightful. I never had anything like that, I don't think I have ever had champagne but if it includes strawberries I am always willing to try haha
