Good night, dear friends. I will spend the rest of the day watching news and thinking a bit. I was just shocked to see that in the nation of Brunei, as of today, homosexuality is going to be punished with death by lapidation. This is, for me, one of the worst possible sorts of crimes towards mankind. I hope that something is done be the rest of the world to prevent this Sleep tight, dear friends. I cannot mylot anymore. I am too sad.

We heard this two days ago. They have brought in Sharia law for all sorts of crimes - adultery, failing to pray on Fridays, blasphemy. It is really worrying. I don't know what can be done. It's a tiny nation but exceptionally rich.

Alll rich people (and nations) depend on others. Ellen Degeneres has asked not to use the Hotels owned by the Sultan of Brunei. That is a beginning. I´m sure that governments can stop trading with them.

@arunima25 Boycotts can help. Brunei has many luxurious hotels in the US and Europe. People can start by not going there.

That comes as a worry. Though some boycotts are being done, I am not sure if that will dent them. They are a rich nation.

That is awful people should be allowed to live their lives as they like to and homosexuality is something that cannot be helped and certainly not banned and punishable. Sweet dreams to you and a sunny morning.

We can do something about it. We can ask our government to shun Brunei.

@marguicha I saw Ellen Degeneres' call for boycotting all the hotels that the sultan of Brunei owns. And the sultan does own MANY known hotels not only in the US but in other countries as well.

@sol_cee That is wonderful, but not enough. I have great respect for what Ellen Degeneres has done all these years.

It's not good to kill because of someone's life decision. It's very sad.

I know, a friend mentioned it to me yesterday too and it was so shocking. It is such a harsh way to die too. I hope there is still a way to undo this.

lapidation...will have to look that up. No matter what it is making being gay a crime has no place in the modern world in my opinion.

It is a barbaric law that shouldn't exist, it is awful that someone may suffer these kind of punishments for things that aren't crime at all.

That is a disturbing news. Even I was shocked. They are bringing barbaric sharia law in practice. Really makes me wonder if we stay in a civilized world.

This is not in your hand to save the people from homosexual. But I don't think its a crime. Its a choice only. So ignore or avoid such news. Stop thinking about this a d have a sound sleep.

Being homosexual or heterosexual is not a choice. But lapidating someone is.

I think the whole world has gone mad. Extremist beliefs are bad in any shape or form and seem to be seeping into every area of world wide society. Why cant people who want to live in a certain way be left alone to get on with it. No one has the right to tell anyone else how to think, feel or live. ,.
