My streak of earning $50 in three months' time on HubPages has been broken

It now usually takes me three months to reach the $50 minimum on HubPages whereas it used to take me at least a half a year for that to happen. This time around I fell $2-$3 short of that.
I am a bit bummed about the fact that my streak of reaching $50 in three months' time has been broken, however, I am not beating myself up over it. After all, this is passive income, so I am not really doing much or anything to earn this money...
Not getting there also means I will make much more than $50 by the end of April, so it's a good thing I didn't quite make it. I rather wait and get paid more than get less now.
Any other HubPages writers on here? How are you doing over there earnings-wise?

You made $146 in one month? That's impressive!

@lovebuglena For a while there I was working my way up on $300. I never quite made it, falling less than $2 short.

I am VERY interested in HubPages. I used to write for them. Is their minimum 700 words now? I know it's higher than it used to be. Can you tell me your name on HP ; so I can see your work? $50 passive income in 3 months is VERY good. I never did THAT well. I have some longer reviews and articles that I could post there. Thanks. BTW, when we clean out our postings here, we can't repost them elsewhere can we? They're already out their on the www, right? Lin

@LindaOHio I actually have no idea how long it takes. But what you can do is search for a line from your hub and do it in " " so it will search for that exact line and if that article doesn't come up you are good. From what I remember vaguely is that you can go to webmaster tools and request for a link to be removed. But I've done it a long time ago so not very sure on how it works exactly.

@LindaOHio That is a lot of words! To me, it's not about quantity it's about quality. I don't want to start adding words to a hub just to reach that minimum when it does nothing to make the hub better.
I remember Bubblews and some other sites I wrote for had an actual minimum (not a recommended one) so then you had no choice but to add words to reach that minimum, even if what you had was great as it was. On HubPages, there is no actual minimum. Like, your hub will get published if it is under 700.

@lovebuglena I found a spot in the Help section that recommends 1,150 words minimum. It's gone up since I wrote there last. After deleting a post how long does it take to get removed from the search results or do I have to physically do that? I remember doing that at one point several years ago. Thanks so much for the info! I'll have to check out your posts.

What I love about HubPages is that we earn passive income there from articles (aka hubs) that we have already published there. We don't have to publish new stuff to earn. And we don't need to rely on interaction from other people to earn. Our main concern is getting traffic to what we have published there.

@LindaOHio Creating a hub is easy for sure.

@lovebuglena I always liked writing there because the set-up was easy.
