My husband is on a business trip and mom in law away to her elder son's place. It's only me and my daughters in the house. So yesterday I slept down with my younger one. Her room is next to our kitchen.
Well I sometimes sleep downstairs with my younger daughter when she is not well or when my husband has some late night work. His office is adjacent to our bedroom and the light till late night and all the sound of his business calls trouble me and I prefer to sleep down with my daughter on such nights.
So today morning, the alarm rang and I switched it off and went to sleep a little longer. Soon I could hear some footsteps towards kitchen and could also smell the hot ginger tea. In my half sleep I felt as if my husband is making the hot ginger tea. And that is the signal for me to wake up
I woke up to realize that the house has a weird silence. The smell of ginger tea was still in my mind. I generally don't have a tea without my husband but today I went ahead to make it and sat down with it.
Morning tea is actually couple chit chat time for me. So I called up my husband and what a coincidence he too just sat down with his tea. So we talked over phone while sipping our cups of tea.
He will soon pack up and leave for airport after his breakfast. He should be here by late afternoon or evening
Do you also get such hallucinations in sleep??

We seem to be more productive in sleep at times. So you didn't actually sleep over the problem

Yes that is the case. I am so used to waking up with that smell. On weekends that is actually my signal to wake up.

I have had some dreams that seemed so real. Sometimes I dream about something that is going to happen the next day. When I wake up I think it has already happened....and then I discover that my day just started and nothing happened yet

@arunima25 Yes, that would be nice. Sometimes I am confused for a moment when I wake up. It takes me a while to figure out what is real and what is not real.

Wish things done in dreams we're really done. We could just get up and relax.

@Porcospino The same happened with me on that day. It took me some time to wake up to the reality.

I think we have our day to day happenings at the back of our mind and these dreams seem like real life ones.

@arunima25 I agree. I had some dreams that seemed more real than what was happening in reality.

There are things in our conscious and subconscious minds. So these seem like a real happening.

It took me some time to realize that it was all in sleep. I woke up to the reality that I have to prepare it myself. I won't be served today

I woke up with that smell. I had to make it myself and I don't like it.

I don't crave for it or don't need it to kick start my day. My husband generally wakes up before me and that smell of tea wakes me up.
