Fear

We are all afraid of something or sometimes multiple things. For me, I am afraid of heights and snakes/lizards. If I am up high, I have to stay away from windows or railings. I can't look down as it makes my stomach feel funny. There have been times I had to turn away from watching TV because of how heights make me feel.
I think I got being scared of snakes and lizards from my Mom. Lizards freak me out just as much as snakes but with lizards, they move so darn fast its scary. I would really freak if one ever jumped on me.
My brother is afraid of snakes too but is also claustrophobic as was my Mom. He has to have some kind of sedation to have an MRI done. There have been times when I have been in an MRI for quite some time and I have to talk to myself to calm myself down which always works.
I forgot to add that I am also afraid of jumping spiders and the little "hairy" ones. Make me shudder to think about it. Is there anything you are afraid of?

@simone10 I love hearing about people's fears / phobias and then I try to go all Dr Phil on them trying to work out why that is so lol
I do have some weird phobias but also some fears due to trauma in my life.
So natural phobias are spiders. I don't want to hurt them or anything but if one is in my house, big or small, I need them out ASAP! I can't relax otherwise. And for some reason even looking at them makes me want to wash my hands ( I don't know why )
I don't like clowns. I can watch movies and I'm not terrified, I just don't like them. I feel that is due to my parents letting me watch a clown horror movie when I was like 4...why they let me I don't know.
Not that I go in a pool often but sometimes I worry there is something in there with me that will pull be down under the water. Don't know why. Possibly because I've nearly drowned a few times when I was little or maybe because my insane ex held me under water? Not sure.
Now fears. I HATE flying. I've never had a bad experience but I just hate it. I can not relax on a plane at all and every little bump or noise makes me jump thinking I'm going to die lol
I don't like knives. Or I mean, I don't trust anyone around me holding a knife. This is due to my parents traumatising me with the bull crap things they did and also because my insane ex used them to frighten me further with them.
And sometimes I am afraid of complete darkness. I know the reasons behind that but I won't say here.
And another fear is fearing my insane ex will come kill me. ( very long story )
So yeah...I know there are more but those are the top phobias and fears of mine.

@simone10 I've been through a lot and at a very young age. I plan to write about it or somehow share it one day. Not for sympathy or anything. Kinda like a way to vent it out mainly.

@jvicentevalera yes they did. We would alternate between crickets and worms when we went fishing.

I am lucky and never have been afraid of spiders. My mother also feared snakes and I caught it from her...but my daughter taught me all about snakes and showed them to me in her garden. I'm not afraid anymore...don't like them but I don't run away anymore. The only thing I can think of right now is...I need my house locked when I go to bed...I have no idea why I'm afraid someone will come in the house if it wasn't locked....

I can see how that would scare you. I had a dog bite me in the face once when I was young. Fortunately, it only pinched the skin and it bled a little. I did learn that you should never but your face into the face of a dog who doesn't know you.

I know from personal experience. I sat on one once by accident and got stung by one and try to stay away from them. That is why my cat also did not look happy that when we were on the porch one day and we keep the door open so can go back inside a bunch of them just decided to go inside our home. I did not see them or do not know where they went and what happened to them. i checked.
