Did that get your attention? Good.
When I was a teenager, no actually, a pre-teen..
When I was a pre-teen I was taken to the doctors because I had lumps in my breasts. Of course this was a traumatic experience for me because everyone was terrified, including myself. The nurse examined me and told me that I had something called Fibrocystic Breast Disorder.
I was not aware until recently that Fibrocystic Breast Disorder is a Estrogen Dominant disorder, hence the ED part of the title. The nurse either neglected to tell me or didn't know herself.
I struggle with reproductive system issues because of that. I haven't taken care of myself or my body the way I should and because of that have had some scares.
I've resolved to do better about this from now on. I'm not going to say I'll do a major turn around, that's just impossible. What I will do is try to make better eating choices, exercise a little more and take some supplemental vitamins.
I've been doing my own research based on the problems I've faced recently. I don't agree with modern medicine in a lot of things. I won't be going to the doctor for them to ply me with medications that mimic estrogen...
Sorry for the males who happened upon this discussion and thought it would be an interesting one.

I should have been doing it. Of course, I didn't know until just a few years ago that my condition meant I had too much estrogen in my body.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I did not know that too much estrogen could disrupt the body.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh, I did not know that. My chest pains before getting my period.

Last year I noticed a big difference to my overall health after taking up walking. I haven't done nearly enough of that this year and it's something I need to rectify. My BMI is higher than it should be and I need to rectify that. If I can do that then I feel certain a lot of my other problems will be gone.

@ScribbledAdNauseum walking is one of the best exercises you can do. I have always loved walking but because of the neuropathy in my feet, I haven't been able to go walking in a long time.

@simone10 I'm sorry to hear that. Does the doctor have you on any kind of medication for just the neuropathy alone?

Probably kale and other yucky stuff is good for you too!

@ScribbledAdNauseum Oh sure. I have a spring veggie mixie now, it looks like it probably has some kale in it, but it is not listed on the package it just says "mixed greens."

@snowy22315 A tiny bit of plain kale mixed with others isn't bad. I don't eat spinach unless it's cooked, but if it's mixed with other greens and plain, I'll eat it.

Oh yep, Kale was listed as one of the best sources for a Vitamin that I should probably be taking...
I like Kale Chips though, so I suppose that's okay.

Thank You! I'm thinking the most important for me is to get a good multivitamin and to add more cruciferous veggies in my diet.

It's probably more common now than it once was.. but yeah, thanks. It's just a pity the foods I have to give up.

@porwest Like Coffee. I like it but it doesn't like me. I'm considering multi-vitamins which might take some pressure off of me having to eat like a saint all the time.

Thanks for updating us on your health. It shows us that you feel comfortable enough to tell us, and personally I appreciate it. I hope this fibrocystic disorder gets under control while you're working on your new daily routine. In my opinion if you have an active routine and work out a little more, for 3 days a week your health will enhance!

"will get under control."
It's not out of control, but thank you. It's what the disorder does to my hormones that's the problem.

I haven't been to a doctor in ages. The last time was for a UTI and dehydration. The time before that was for pink eye.

I do not go to doctor's unless I absolutely have to. The last time I went was for a Urinary Tract Infection and Dehydration.
