One More Reason To Move Off The Grid

I'm hearing on the news this morning about an outbreak of measles in New York and a an argument about parents not wanting to immunize their children. Why? Because they have heard negative things about side effects and even autism connected with immunizations. New York is now keeping those children who haven't gotten immunized out of school and parents can get fined. Some people talk about moving and living off the grid, with no inner city services such as gas, water, electricity, health, etc. Living off the land and however a person wants to. Making their own rules. When you live in the city or town you have to live by societies rules. Right? One of those is getting your children immunized. Are you for or against immunization for your children?

I definitely believe in immunizations, they do more good than harm and one of my children has Aspergers-no I don't blame his shots for it.

I believe in immunizations. We were going to go see a cousin in Michigan who lost her husband recently, but we will not go because there was quite an outbreak of measles recently. Apparently the infected people were out and about shopping and dining out and the virus will remain live for several hours after the infected person has left, so we opted to stay safe and stay home.

I immunized mine. Some of the diseases can have devastating effects. The shot at least gives the body a chance to fight back

Measle disease is also rampant in our country nowadays. The reasons why some of us refuse to immunized their children are because of culture related and believe of having serious illnesses that might cause by vaccines.

I'm not sure why folks always bring up autism as the reason people choose not to vaccinate. That's an old argument that most people who choose not to vaccinate aren't focused on. One thing I would like to point out from a Christian standpoint is that some of the vaccines contain aborted fetal cells. I don't support the murder of unborn children and I definitely don't want their cells injected into my children. Also, there hasn't been a test determining the safe limit of aluminum, which is in many vaccines. Aluminum is known to cross the blood-brain barrier and can cause autoimmune issues. I could go on and on...there's a lot of information out there about the harmful effects of vaccinating (information, I might add, that is being hidden and blocked as much as possible!). In the end, I think it comes down to taking the risk and vaccinating (with whatever side effects that may occur) or taking the risk and not vaccinating (with whatever effects that may occur).

There are risks and side effects to most things. It is important that people do their homework.

@celticeagle I think I can explain a litle more about it. It is religious Jewish People not wanting their children immunized. The people you are referring to do not believe in that so they do not want their children immunized.

I don't have children; but I'd get them immunized. The myth about autism is just that...a myth.

I have mixed feelings about it. My children are grown now and have their own children, who have been immunized. There is still so much unknown about this issue.
