It has been interesting to read the different responses to my post about the word that mylot bans.

It has been interesting to discover that we need to become aware about why we say something or we cannot say it. It also happens with many changes that have to be thought of before taking steps to ban them.
Yesterday I was sent a post about the mayor ecological problem in China when Mao killed the sparrows so that they would not eat the crops. The sparrows also ate harmful insects so a big problem arose. Later on, those insects had to be killed with pesticides and now many trees are pollinated by people.
I then say to myself: BEWARE! This winter I will use inside my house an exquisite scarf made with the furs of 2 animals. The scarf was my mother´s and my father gave it to her when having furs was not politically incorrect.
Now, I think that I will use inside my home both of my mother´s furs. It would be a shame to throw them away.
Let us not exaggerate. These furs belong to animals that were raised for fur maybe 30 to 40 years ago. We should take care of what we have now.

@marguicha Who might those people be? I see different groups taking advantage of different laws.

You never know what you can or can't say anymore. Going with the can't is my rule of thumb these days. PC has gotten out of control.

I will not accept the PC business. I did not accept it when I wrote during the Pinochet time in my country and much less will I accept it in an online site where I post for fun.

@LadyDuck My mother gave the scarf to my sister in law and she said she would not use it. She showed it to me the last time she invited me and said that if I did not want it, she would throw it away. I agreed with her that it was not a thing to wear out now. It even has the face and the feet of 2 animals. But I put it on and discovered that it would keep me from cold in winter at home. So I will use it while mylotting. My own fur is a beautiful coat from a gray fox. I have used it out twice, to go in winter to reunions where I was part of the young generation. And all of the old ladies had their furs on. But I should wear it at home. It is light and cozy.

@marguicha I am glad if someone will use them, my niece said she does not want to wear "killed animals", I did not want either, we had no use of them.

This may have a mixed bag of opinions , while you say wearing fur of animals raised for that purpose 30 to 40 years ago. It`s strange to hear that it was politically correct in your mom`s days and now it is not ?
