This is my compilation of pictures i took last year on my trip to Washington DC. It took us about 4 long hours from NYC to be there. There was no traffic just long travel there. We were hoping to get a glimpse of cherry blossoms there but we were a bit late but took one tree that was still blooming quite well. Visited a lot of monuments and iconic places like the White House and the Congress and a lot more houses that are centuries old already.

I stayed in Washington DC about a full week, my husband had to attend a convention there, it was beginning of May.

I see its quite a nice place. You can just feel the presence of the government there and less commercial. I never imagined White House to be like that. It seemed small like when I see on TV that looks big. LOL. We were there April and stayed there half day before we went back home after lunch.

@rsa101 I visited many areas and some areas are not nice at all.The areas around the White House, the Capitol and so on are beautiful.

@LadyDuck I see I guess I wan't able to explore that not so nice place you are talking about. We were like just a day touring the place so we just visited the commonly tourist spots and I think we went to one of the free museums there the Lincoln Memorial.

Thanks that’s why I started posting it here because I started to miss that place a year after. When you’re in a foreign place you suddenly feel how you miss the place.

That's true we were supposed to go there on weekend earlier but we cancelled because of the weather forecast saying it would rain there.

Definitely and my foot was quiet tired from walking around the place. Good thing that the weather was still cold because if its not then I would be exhausted already from that kind of walk.

I really do not have any Idea. We just traveled by a car and we passed through NY state, New Jersey, and another state I think before we reached Maryland.
