What is the traditional breakfast in your country?

I am asking this because I am curious to know. I am a Filipino expat and what I have read online and some other Filipino posted in fb said that their traditional breakfast are fried eggs, tocino, longganisa, rice and maybe fried dried fish.
I am confused because what I know, most of the people I know of in the Philippines eat bagoong (salted fish), dried fish, canned fish in tomato sauce or leftover fried fish or fish cooked in vinegar from the night before, aside from rice. Sometimes fried eggs for breakfast. Is this food only eaten by poor people? This food was my breakfast when I was still a child.
As what I have noticed, Tocino (marinated fried pork or chicken), longganisa (Filipino sausage) this yummy food are already included as the traditional Filipino breakfast. In reality, only those who are rich can afford this kind of food every day.
There are lots of Filipinos here at Mylot and I want to know (please) what your usual breakfast at home.
How about you my friends from other countries, what breakfast do you usually have at home?

Traditional and normal are often not the same. Pancakes and sausage with maple syrup and baked beans are common in this area of Canada. I grew up with oatmeal being our mainstay at breakfast.
When I go our for breakfast I'm apt to enjoy eggs, bacon, home fried potatoes, and some toasted bread.

Oh my! I am getting hungry @Morleyhunt. I love pancakes with maple syrup. It has been a long time I have last eaten it. Your breakfast with bacon and ....sounds like English breakfast. I love that. Thanks.

usually coffee and bread (pandesal or tasty/white sliced in the past, wheat now) with palaman (spread or filling) like peanut butter or boiled/fried egg or hotdog or tuna or pork and beans (baked beans) or cream cheese, etc.
we don't really eat rice for breakfast, but i know some do because they say it helps them to feel fuller longer.

@thelme55 a lot? but it's only coffee and bread! i just listed the variety of palaman. for example, today it could be egg. tomorrow it could be peanut butter. next day it could be tuna. not all of them in one sitting! that's why i repeatedly wrote "or", not "and". hope that's clearer!

Oh! That sounds plenty for breakfast @hereandthere. I am not fond of eating breakfast but when I am in Pinas I eat Pandesal if I wake up early. If not, I just take my brunch. Just a mug of creamy tea is enough for me.

I am half Mindanaoan, and half Kapampangan. I can relate to you that most Mindanaoans or maybe people from VIsayas would have those things you mentioned such as canned fish or sardines, fried eggs, dried fish bagoong, fish cooked in vinegar for breakfast. When I was in elementary I would only eat bread for breakfast, when we are in Pampanga for summer vacation we are forced to eat heavy breakfast with fried rice, tocino, longganisa, fried bangus or tilapya. I think it also depends on what region one is from, but recently hotdogs and other processed cold cuts are now found in most Filipino breakfast table.

Thank you very much for the comment @florelway.
I appreciate that. I think you are right. I think it really depends on where one comes from.

I am from England. I think a lot of us now have toast, cereals, and other things that are easy to prepare but we do have the traditional 'fry up'. As I don't like fried foods, I often substitute the frying pan for the grill!
A traditional English fry up might include bacon, eggs, sausages, black pudding, fried bread or toast, tinned beans or tomatoes (or both), grilled tomatoes, mushrooms. They are the usual selection of ingredients. There might even be liver or kidney. Of course, there must also be a cup/mug/pot of tea (or coffee if you prefer). Some people also enjoy a glass of orange juice and some even add chips (fries) but I think it's a bit weird having them for breakfast.

I love the English breakfast. I would prefer to eat this food for lunch or for dinner than for breakfast. Sometimes, I make English breakfast here excluding the black pudding as I don't like it. Thanks for your nice comment @pumpkinjam

I always love dried fish and rice along with coffee; but my family wanted more so I sometimes cook processed meats like tocino or chicken longganisa. I wanted simple breakfast.

Now you make me hungry with dried fish and rice. It is almost a week I think that I have not eaten rice and more than a month not eaten dried fish.
. I have made Tocinos and Longganisa last week and they are all frozen. Thanks @acelawrites.
