It's time for a new countdown. By the time I finish this one I'll be unemployed. Technically, retired. Long story (five years long) short: I won my VA case. Part of the "victory" is retirement. Oh, don't cry for me, Argentina: as Lori will tell you, I was looking for another job anyway. Now, I don't have to find one. You know me: I can't leave without a song. Some of these songs are completely appropriate. Some of them have an appropriate title but very little else (I thought about using "Farewell Party," which is a pretty morbid song [it's about a guy who won't divorce his wife and he's telling her to have fun at his funeral], but I decided against it). Some have a most appropriate line or two in them (so yes, they'll be in the countdown). And none of them are "Take This Job and Shove It," the classic David Allen Coe composition that Johnny Paycheck made famous. I never really cared for that song....yet I'm linking the Dead Kennedys' rendition below. It is a good punk song.
