My life next week will be in a turmoil. I will have no downstairs bathroom and I hate to go upstairs. Stairs destroy my legs!
I am thinking about sleeping in the second floor. I would have to keep my fingers crossed that there´s no earthquake while the worker is remodeling.
It will be quite expensive. I´m in conversations so that some materials are not as expensive. I don´t want them to last a lot. I will not last that much.

But a bathroom remodeling will last for decades even if you don´t buy the most expensive materials.

They said a week, but I think that 2 weeks will be a reasonable amount of time.

Thursday I'm having my porch redone and a new awning done. I can't wait, but I won't be able to use my front door until it's done.

Yes unfortunately any type of repairs or remodels is not cheap anymore. There are things we would Love to get done here but just cannot afford it right now.

@marguicha tubs are not good in terms of water usage too. Many hotels in India are replacing tubs with showers as the tubs consume much more water than showers.
And buckets are even more water effective than showers.
Of course, your reason for replacing looks different.

Nothing. But I want to take out the tub and install a shower. I cannot jump easily into the tub.
