Today is an important national holiday in my country, we celebrate the carnations revolution. Portugal lived almost 50 years under an oppressive authoritarian government that end with this revolution. It is known as the carnations revolution because soldiers used carnations in the muzzles of guns and almost no shots were fired. It was a pacific revolution that end of the dictatorship and 25 of April is now known as the Freedom Day.
I prefer when national holiday is on Monday or Friday but it is also good have a break in the middle of the week
So today I am not working and I will just stay at home as the weather is so awful, heavy rain and very cold, that it is not appealing at all going out.
How is your day going?

I watched a short documentary about the coup on You Tube. Amazing that they "fought a war" with only four fatalities. They talked instead of shooting. What a concept!
Happy freedom day to you!

Enjoy your day off. Sometimes it's nice to have a day off in the middle of the week.

It feels good just staying at home, even if I have to go to work tomorrow
