Get paid to have fun

A week from tomorrow I am going to the other school district. I am going on a field trip. It should be fun. I am not officially booked anywhere else, so I said "Yes" then sent out e mails to others who might try to entice me to work for them. I told them I was booked for May 3. We will go on an excursion train. I have ridden it on a field trip before. It goes out about fifteen miles and then back. It is an antique. We will also go to a museum. I am not sure which one. Boy, I sure am glad I will have something new to talk about. Yay.

@GardenGerty The weather is unpredictable in April, you never know what it's going to do, rain or sun.

It will be great. I have done the train trip before, and a different museum. The one we will see this week has a carousel museum in it.

This is a link to the school charter train. I have looked at the websites and there are lots of other options at fairly steep prices for private individuals, but it would be great for anyone interested in history.

That sounds like lots of fun, I have been on a few excursion trains and always enjoy the ride. How old are the kids?

No one has told me. Elementary, I am sure. My guess would be third grade, as I have done this trip with third graders from another district a few years ago, and third grade from our school did it as well.

It was K-2nd. 33 or so kids and six adults. Some parents joined us there with even more littler kids.

I will take a camera. I have to be careful about putting info and pictures of kids up, but the museum and train will be a blast.

Actually used my phone to take pictures, not as good for me. I am struggling with getting them to a place to add to this site.

Yes, it is. The museums or Heritage Center we will visit is one I have not been to. In the past we have always gone to the Eisenhower museum in this town.

It is getting far enough into spring that the weather should be about perfect.
