Last Friday night was the first night of our holiday which we hosted, so we didn’t have our weekly date night. Tonight, we won’t have it either, but that’s okay.
Our best friends from up north are at their Florida condo for a long weekend, and we have a dinner date tonight. I’m so excited to see my friend and her husband! We will have dinner at a restaurant new to us, but I heard it is known for both it’s seafood and steaks.
By the way, my husband has been sticking to his diet and lost 22 pounds. Because of his diet, I lost 12 pounds!!! Not complaining either.

You are both doing really well with your diets. Keep it up! Can you call tonight a double-date?

@DianneN It's working out well for both of you! You really enjoy your Friday-date alone time with your husband.

@1hopefulman We both prefer our Friday date night alone time, and usually leave Saturday night open for friends. We will have another Friday date night interrupted by friends in May, but that's okay. We enjoy their company enough to spend time with them.

Thank you! I hadn't planned on dieting, but it fell into place. One can never be too thin. Now that I'm on a roll, I'd be so happy if I could lose another 5 plus pounds. Then I'd really have a reason for shopping. lol
I guess we can call it a double date, but it's definitely not our Friday date night.

Great news on the weight loss. Great picture. Makes me "homesick" if you know what I mean! Have a good time tonight. Let us know what you had to eat!

We had such a wonderful time with our friends. We couldn't get over the fact that we were actually together in Florida. The food was so delicious that I ate like a horse and gained a couple of pounds. My husband gained zilch! Not fair!!!

Lucky you loosing weight. It's hard especially when entertaining and going out to "behave" on a diet. What coast of FL are you on?. Looks pretty there.

@DianneN sounds like a very sensible approach to losing weight. Lots of times diets become too restrictive and then don't work.

That is a lovely photo. Congrats to your husband on the weight loss. All I can say is it does not matter that you cannot have date night what matters is that you are together.

OH well done both of you. Please do not lose too much weight. You need your fat reserves in case you become unwell! I can't see why you would need to lose weight. I could do with losing a ton or two!
