Sowing in full swing

I bought a packet of assorted vegetable seeds and have now started sowing them.
I will only sow a few at a time. I have directly sown bitter gourd, long beans and lady finger. These are normally not transplanted.
I have sown tomato, chilli and brinjal in seedling trays These will be transplanted when ready
I know all this will take time to yield but I am happy that I have started the process after a long, long, time.

Have fun with it. I enjoy gardening. Where I live, I have never been successful at growing anything. This year things are just too busy to even try.

I have decided to plant just a few at a time as too many of them will be a waste here

@allknowing Seed packets often contain rather too many seeds don't they? But now I can donate any extras to the plant stall at Little One's school fair next month.

@Fleura There is not much demand for vegetable growing here and so I just discard spare ones

Happy gardening
. I will get interested in planting once the rainy season begins. It's too dry here. Poor tomatoes and eggplants.

I am planning to start a garden in my window sill. In fact a few weeks back I got soil and planted lemon seeds, tomato, brinjal and chillies in four different pots. And now I have conveniently forgotten what is where. One of the pots are starting to show some shoots and I am now waiting to see what it is. Dont know how many weeks or months it will be before I recognize what plant it is.

They will taste a lot better than store bought when you are ready to harvest.

@allknowing I have planted garlic, red onions, scallions, spinach and potatoes and they are all doing well. Brinjal I've tried to grow but I don’t think we have enough heat here.

I hope that they grow and you have a nice crop of vegetables. I have never seen a white aubergine before. That is unusual to us. We normally only see the purple ones!
