Time to "shape up" with a trivia series of terrific tunes with an exercise term in the title. Now I distinctly remember my Mom saying this phrase quite a bit when I was a youngster. Perhaps you might have heard it too. This familiar phrase certainly stopped me in my tracks when I heard Mom yell out ... "Walk Don't Run." Gee, how was I kid with all that pent up energy going to burn off those calories from all that junk food eating Anyway, maybe this trivia quiz can have songs with a bit of both? Here is some Modern Country to introduce our quiz and provide you with a clue. Hope you enjoyed that musical video. And now it's quiz time! Whodunnit? Do you know these songs and artists? 1. This singer and actress is known for a 1966 signature # 1 hit. She recorded another song with her famous singer/actor father in 1967, which also became a #1 hit. Our mystery song's lyrics describes a certain kind of shoe, a real fashion statement, for sexy ladies in the swingin' sixties. Her brief acting career included a co-staring role in a movie about race cars. She was paired as Elvis Presley's love interest in the film. Fun fact: The song was included in the 1997 film Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery. 2. This artist was part of a British rock group which became internationally famous causing a intense fan frenzy. After the band's breakup in 1970, this member pursued a solo career and eventually formed his own group with his wife. Today's trivia song is off the album of the same name released in 1973. The artist wrote this song about unfair drug laws which criminalized him and his friends. Some references in the song can be interpreted as the singer's escape from his former band or being stuck inside a sort of prison. The tune opens with these classic lines: Stuck inside these four walls, Sent inside forever.... The album's title track charted #1 in the U.S. Bonus: The Dixie Chicks achieved mainstream success in the 90's by changing their musical style from bluegrass to a more contemporary sound. While on tour the video group encountered a major controversy with criticism of a U.S. President. The comment by their lead singer angered many country music fans and was financially damaging to the group. Do You know which U.S. President the singer was referring to? Ok, now time to "fit those clues together" and answer the trivia quiz! If your stuck and need additional help just let me know in your response. You can "lean on me" if more clues are needed. As always, thanks for reading and responding to my music post !!!! Source- Wikipedia & songfacts.com Photo- youtube.com

1) Sounds like Nancy Sinatra and These Boots Are Made for Walking though I prefer running shoes. 2) Yes, I got this one. Paul McCartney with Band On The Run. In harmony with the theme, I'm jumping up and down. Bonus) I'll have to guess on this one. Was it Jimmy Carter? Was it Bush? Was it Obama?

I had no real guesses - so I went ahead and read the replies. As usually nicely done. You should write for trivia games. How about "Physical" - Olivia Newton John?
