Your favorite song

My friend is going to take a new class and her teacher has asked every student to bring their favorite song and play it in class. I like the idea, but I would find it really hard to pick ONE song.
I have been interested in music for about 30 years, and I probably have about 700 or 800 favorite songs (maybe more 
) I would probably find it easier to mention my 25 favorite bands or singers than one song. I listen to music in many different languages, and that makes it even harder.
What about you? If someone asked you to pick one song that you like more than any other song, which song would you pick? Would it be hard or easy to pick one song?

Yes, it is very hard to pick one song. There are so many great songs. I listen to music in many different languages, and I would be able to mention a lot of different songs and singers that I love.

@LadyDuck My list of favorite singers continue to grow. When I am listening to music on YouTube I often discover new singers that I like.

I have many songs that I love, but I will always have one favorite song. It is The Mortician's Daughter by Black Veil Brides. I don't care how old I am, that song will always be my favorite, it has a very special story behind it and will always hold a place in my heart haha

I don't know Black Veil Brides, I think I have heard the name before, but I don't know the music. I have a couple of local songs which will always be special to me. Some of them are very sad, but beautiful as well.

@Porcospino I do talk about them a lot haha they are my favorite band. They are a rock band, but that song is a ballad, it is somber but beautiful!

Music is not my thing. You could ask me about paintings, but I'd need a long time to answer because I like many different kinds of paintings as well as installations. For example this:

I love music, but I also love art. One of my favorite artists is Jacek Yerka from Poland, he is a surrealist painter. I just read your discussion. It is interesting. If I had been in the area I would have loved to see it in person.

I strongly agree. It's really hard to decide which one is your favorite among the songs you have in your favorite playlist. I'm really having hard time dealing to that kind kf questions which requires a single answer from a bunch of different choice of music.

Yes, there are so many great songs, it is hard to pick only one song. I like many different kinds of music and I also listen to music in many different languages, so I have a lot of songs to choose from.

That is a beautiful song, and I have watched the movie several times. I also have a lot of favorite songs. I love music and I keep finding new favorite songs.

Like you, I'd have a problem picking a "favorite song". I have favorites of course, but the question would have to be defined better, and would probably change depending on my mood.
There is one song though that, even though I can't sing very well, I have to sing along anytime I hear it...

Yes, mood is important. I like a lot of different songs, they belong to different genres, and my choice usually depends on my mood. I listened to "Sleep" when I had read your response. I didn't know it, but I like it.

Oh yes, it would be hard for me. I listen to music in different languages, and I am constantly changing my "favorite song".
I think the teacher should have said top three favorite songs, I'm sure a few people will have the same favorite.

There are so many great songs. I listen to music in Danish, English, German, French; Italian, Spanish, Polish, Russian, Japanese... and my list of favorite songs is so long. I could spend hours on YouTube and I keep finding new favorite songs.
