It's Just A Little Thunder

Good morning everyone! I hope you are having a good morning so far today. It's raining here with all the thunder and lightning that goes along with a thunderstorm. Both of my dogs are freaking a little. Bella who usually barks, jumped off the couch, came over to me and started whining. She's never done that before. Daisy is right by my feet where she always is. Even though I tried to convince them both that its only thunder, I don't think they understood...lol
Very happy camper today as I was able to sleep until 3:30. I would have slept longer but Daisy woke me up with her little bark/growl that she does when she realizes that she is either alone or the only one awake.. It's not loud but loud enough to wake up a light sleeper like me. I was given a little bit of loving then she was ready to get up. Bella stayed under the blankets like she usually does and gets up when she is good and ready...lol.
Not much going on here today except washing clothes. Yay, a fun day! The only good thing so far is being on myLot and knowing I will have leftover Chinese food from last night for lunch today. Beef pepper steak which I haven't had in a long time. I usually have chicken but was in the mood for something different. It was really good. Do you like Chinese food? What's your favorite meal?

We're having a lot of thunderstorms back in Florida as well. A tropical disturbance is moving over the state from the Bahamas, bringing all that tropical moisture and rain with it.
And of course, I'm out in Texas right now for our paintball tournament, and we are also having severe weather here as well. Bad storms, some pretty severe. We've had many delays in play today already, which has put us pretty far behind schedule.

I don't like to be in Texas when there is bad weather. I lived in Texas for 6 years and wouldn't move back for anything. Texas and Oklahoma have a lot of tornados. When I lived there, we had tornado warnings that lasted all day. As soon as one ended, another started. It was black as night outside. The street lights came on. I've never been so scared before. I hope you were able to get caught up with your games.

@simone10 I can imagine how scary that must have been living under the constant threat of tornadoes. That would probably frighten me as well.
We did get all caught up, as the rain finally let up and the sun came out.

First of all, why is Chinese food so expensive? I sometimes make my own fried rice. If you do, does your version contain peanut butter? A woman I know told me that authentic fried rice calls for peanut butter. My version? Sometimes I use butter. Sometimes I use soy sauce.

we had thunderstorms as well yesterday. Our labs hate storms. Well, they love snow storms. But thunder, not so much.

I know how your dogs feel and Coco used to feel. It poured and was like that last night and made it harder to breathe plus fear of power going.
anyway, I like Chinese food okay. not a favorite though. Almost anything Italian is my favorite foods.

We had thunderstorms last night and in the middle of the night. I feel bad for Bella and Daisy. I used to cover our dogs ears with my hands and kiss him when it thundered. It worked to sooth him.
I like most Chinese food, but haven’t had any here this year, It doesn’t taste as good as the food we get up north for some reason. Enjoy yours and have a wonderful Friday!

I feel bad for my dogs too. Bella has been this way since I got her when she was only a year and half. Daisy picks up things from Bella. She doesn't bark but I guess she can tell from Bella's bark and knows it's something scary so she runs and hides. I think Bella's barking is her way of protecting.

Never into Chinese food. You can just stick your clothes outside and let the rain wash them.
