Getting along with each other

I’ve spoken before about the birds that come to bathe in the birdbath outside my office window. Today two quite big birds came in and shared the facility. I’ve only seen smaller varieties sharing before today but there didn’t seem to be any concerns from either the magpie or the parrots about having to share. We can learn a lot from creatures sometimes, can’t we?

Gorgeous birds in there. We can learn a lot from them if we take the time to do so.

@JudyEv Jorge has always told me about the beautiful birds you have over there. There are some Parrots here too in Barcelona that got loose and now live free in the trees.

@lovinangelsinstead21 That's interesting. I wonder if they'll ever become an 'introduced pest'.

What lovely birds. The cats here have a few issues about getting along. My Sid gets paw swiped by Oreo when it comes to food. So now when they eat I have them facing away from each other.

@JudyEv one cat thinks the other is getting something better even though they are getting the same food.

Maybe they're teaming up for something sinister. Better keep a close eye on them Judy, they could be up to no good!

Maybe they're planning on taking over! Like the birds in the Alfred Hitchcock movie.

It surprised me a bit. Sometimes there seems to be great battles going on down the paddock but mostly it's all magpies fighting.

Animals are a lot better than humans, they share. The sparrows now share their bath with two magpies.

This is very true. The only time I have ever seen birds fight were 1) mating and 2) babies.

Mating time brings out some very aggressive behaviour, that's for sure.

Animals in nature only take what they need, they fight only when there's no other option. But we are humans and we behave... well, differently. We could learn a lot from nature and all the creatures around us .

That reminded me of something one of my granddaughters said to me last summer when she spotted a lot of birds chattering away on a nearby rooftop... "Hey Nana, the birds are having an early meeting today!
