If this is not an act of kindness what is!!

Thanks to that kitten our routine has turned upside down. As some of you know we sent this boss out so that it gets used to do her job in the garden and not inside. I did not expect what I am going through now She refuses to come inside and the older ones will follow her wherever it takes them which means I have to follow it too and carry their food back and forth. We have a biggish garden and it is not an easy task to locate this tiny bit of trouble which sometimes hides behind bushes. Ofcourse any act of kindness is good for one's soul And this activity is a dawn to dusk phenomena Else those older ones will starve. If this is not an act of kindness what is

When I find that bowl allfinished I feel so satisfied. I keep a watch as feral cats do come for a treat.

You don't think the older cats would realize they aren't being fed and come find you themselves without you having to traipse around wherever the younger cat wants to go?

@MarshaMusselman It is only when the kitten is around that they start eating. I just saw that. If they eat then my responsibility ceases The mother will carry a piece of food for the kitten wherever she is in the garden. This routine may not be endless. Hoping the kitten will be more mature, soon.

They did arrive this morning but went out again as the little one did not follow suit (lol) I have watched them. If the kitten is not around they will not eat.

@allknowing Maybe, but if they were used to eating before the kitten arrived, I'd think it wouldn't take very long for them to begin eating on their own again. The kitten is always around, right, it might just be hiding from the other cats in and among the plants? Even when they are following the kitten around, you don't think they would take time eventually to feet themselves? It seems like it would make it a bit difficult getting any work around the house done or going to take care of errands if you have to follow them around all day long to make sure they get some food.

It has a responsible mother and brother. They slept the whole night out with her because she refused to come inside.

They want to be sure that the kitten is safe, cats have sentiments despite what many people think.

This is the first time I have noticed how a mother cat cares for its offspring They are in the garden just because the little one wants it that way

@allknowing I have seen how the young ginger cat was sad when the kitten of the other neighbors was killed by a car. He went several times in their garden trying to dig the kitten out. He did not even eat for several days.

@garymarsh6 This time it is its mother and brother that it bosses around. They are there out in the garden which is not normal with them just because this brat refuses to come inside (lol)

@allknowing A typical cat ruling the roost! It is so funny how they get us humans to run around after them!

@allknowing So cute! It must be a pleasure for you to pamper them. I wish I was not allergic to cats. I and my daughter have very bad allergy. So we can just enjoy them from a far distance.
