When I saw this image on Pinterest I couldn't believe it. It really does look like a parrot. My first instinct was to order the seeds on the spot. My second thought was to put the brakes on ordering. I have grown, or should I say, tried to grow orchids. They see me coming and they tend to curl up and die. Of course, all plants seemed to react in the same way until this year. I have been able to get some seeds to germinate and start growing little tiny seedlings. Maybe I could get the parrot orchid seeds to grow into a plant. Or, maybe I will wait until next year to try. I am amazed at some of the plants they have come up with in the last year or two. I will keep on looking and start picking out for next year. Maybe my brown thumb is starting to turn in a green thumb.

Isn't it? You should see the Monkey Face Orchid.

This is an amazing orchid. Keep trying...just talk to your plants and keep them watered.

I do. I am afraid that I will water them too much.

I am amazed at some of the shapes they form. There is also an interesting one that looks like a monkey face.

@HazySue Good luck! I don't have a green thumb, but my husband does. It's very frustrating.

I haven't had luck with them for a while now. I am hoping that I will be able to keep my luck with seedling growing and turn it into gardening flowers.

That certainly looks like a parrot. Some of our native orchids are very unusual too. We have a snail orchid which looks very much like a snail.

I have seedlings growing right now for a wisteria snail vine plant. I can't wait to see it grown.
